About Us
Established in 2009, Crofting Supplies aims to provide a one stop shop for all your farming, crofting and smallholding needs. The business was developed when we first moved to our croft in Caithness and had difficulty accessing services such as agricultural contracting, fencers, feed supplies, eco friendly livestock equipment etc.
We therefore came up with the idea of creating Crofting Supplies to cover all these needs under one roof.
With our eyes ever on the environment we try to source products that are made from sustainable or recycled means wherever possible. For example, a 100% recycled plastic material that we have acquired has been developed into a range of products which includes sheep and calf pens, hen houses and pig arks.
On the construction front, Crofting Supplies can supply deliver and erect a wide range of agricultural buildings from small field shelters and sheds to timber frame outbuildings, stables and steel framed buildings. All can be designed to suit your specific requirements and we’ll even help you with your planning application!
Crofting Supplies stocks a wide range of livestock feeds and supplements, including a traditional range of Marriages livestock feed and an organic range of nutrient rich seaweed based feeds, fertilisers and plant feeds.
Our new Grazing Finding Service is now up and running… If you have a plot of land that you would be happy to be grazed or if you are looking for grazing land, why not register with us? We aim to match your requirements with land available and hopefully get more livestock living on the land.
A comprehensive range of renewable technologies is also available. Supported with a full design, supply and installation service if required.
And if all that isn’t enough Crofting Supplies can even come and shear your sheep!
